Mr. Georgios V. Manomenidis is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH) in Didymoteicho, with a specialization in “Nursing.”
He studied Nursing at TEI of Larissa, completed postgraduate studies in Primary Health Care at Larissa Medical School, and obtained his doctorate from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). He has attended numerous training and continuing education programs.
At DIPAE and, since March 28, 2024, at DUTH, he has taught various courses such as: Health Psychology, Mental Health Nursing, Communication in Healthcare, Counseling, Crisis Management in Nursing, Nursing Administration, Health Economics, Oncology Nursing, and others. He also teaches in various Postgraduate Programs (PMS) at DIPAE and Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH).
He possesses extensive clinical experience as a General Hospital Nurse and held significant administrative positions as Department Head and Assistant Director of Nursing Services. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Nurses Association, 3rd Regional Section. As a speaker, chairman, and/or coordinator, he has participated in roundtables at numerous scientific events. He is a peer reviewer for the editorial board of the “Hellenic Journal of Nursing Science,” which is indexed in international databases such as Google Scholar, Research Bib, DOAJ, and Academic Keys.
He has over 30 scientific publications in reputable Greek and international journals. The number of citations to his scientific work exceeds 300.
His research interests focus on topics of Nursing, Mental Health/Psychology in healthcare, Communication skills, Counseling, Service Management with an emphasis on Health, Research Methodology (quantitative and qualitative), as well as the standardization of study tools in the fields of Life and Health Sciences.
