COURSE OUTLINE
- To accurately assess and predict the critical and non-critical aspects of an emergency situation.
- To develop protocols for providing individualized care, in accordance with guidelines, for all emergency situations.
- To compare and contrast the pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, and immediate treatment of diseases presenting by anatomical region.
- To design strategies for responding to terrorist attacks and mass casualty incidents.
- To model and adapt the management of patients with trauma of all types.
- To integrate non-technical skills and the clinical reasoning cycle into the field of Emergency Medicine.
