COURSE OUTLINE
- To compare and contrast various learning theories.
- To tailor the application of learning theories to specific curricula (seminars, activities) in Resuscitation.
- To design training programs according to international curriculum development models (e.g., SPICES curriculum).
- To integrate current trends in technology applications into the pedagogical practice of Resuscitation.
- To tailor the teaching of resuscitation with innovative interactive activities and developmentally appropriate software.
- To compare and contrast the principles of assessment and their application in resuscitation (OSCEs, skills assessment).
- To differentiate between formative and summative assessment and to integrate them in achieving learning outcomes.
- To articulate and defend the rationale for their chosen pedagogical process and their conclusions to both specialized and non-specialized audiences.
- To formulate research hypotheses concerning the teaching and assessment of resuscitation.
- To develop reflective teaching journals.
