Eustathia Papageorgiou, Ph.D., M.Sc., is a graduate of Mathematics (1989, Department of Mathematics – Aristotle University of Thessaloniki), holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Mathematics (2000, School of Applied Mathematical and Physical Sciences – National Technical University of Athens) and a Doctorate in Mathematics (2004, School of Applied Mathematical and Physical Sciences – National Technical University of Athens). She is a Professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the University of West Attica (UNIWA). Since 2019, she has been the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs & Student Welfare at the University of West Attica. Also, since 2019, she has been the President of UNIWA’s Quality Assurance Unit (MODIP) and the Director of the “Reliability and Quality Control in Laboratory Hematology – HemQcR” Research Laboratory. Furthermore, since 2017, she has been the Director of the Inter-Institutional Postgraduate Program of Study (IIPPS) “Pedagogy through Innovative Technologies and Biomedical Approaches.” Since 2016, she has been the President of the Scientific Supervisory Board at Ralleia Model Experimental Schools, and she is also the scientific coordinator for two UNIWA Lifelong Learning Programs. Her research interests lie in the scientific fields of Probability, Statistics, Biostatistics – Medical Statistics, Statistical Data Analysis, Multivariate Analysis, Standardization of Statistical Tools, System Reliability, System Optimization, Stochastic Processes, Queueing Theory, Education Evaluation, Decision Making Theory, Data Mining, Meta-analysis, and Education Technologies. Dr. Papageorgiou has authored 40 original papers published in reputable International Scientific Journals with significant impact factors, and over 30 in Collective Volumes of International Publishing Houses and Proceedings of International and National Conferences with peer review. She is also the author of four university textbooks. She is a member of the editorial team of scientific journals, a member of the organizing committee of International Conferences, and a reviewer for 24 International Scientific Journals with a significant impact factor. Her scientific work has received international recognition and has garnered over 500 heteroreferences (h-index 11), while she is a invited speaker at many International Conferences. She has participated in over 10 funded European or National research programs as a principal or collaborating researcher, as Scientific Coordinator in 6, and has supervised numerous undergraduate and postgraduate theses, while currently supervising three doctoral dissertations.
