For a degree to be recognized, the following conditions must be met:

  • The institution awarding the degrees must be included in the list of foreign institutions maintained and updated by DOATAP. If a foreign institution is not listed on the DOATAP website, the Department will follow the procedure outlined in paragraph 5 of Article 304 of Law 4957/2022. If the place of study, or part thereof, is certified to be within Greek territory, the degree will not be recognized, unless the part of the studies conducted in Greek territory took place at a public Greek Higher Education Institution.
