Candidate Categories

The IIPSP accepts graduates from university Departments of Medicine, Nursing, Biomedical Sciences, Midwifery, and all Health Science departments and related Departments from domestic institutions, or from Departments of recognised equivalent foreign institutions, as well as graduates of Technological Educational Institutes (TEI). Final-year students of such Departments may also apply, on the condition that they provide a Certificate of Completion of Studies before the date of ratification of the list of successful candidates. In this case, a copy of their degree or diploma must be submitted before the Programme’s start date.

Final-year students from foreign institutions that are not yet included in the National Registry of Recognised Foreign Institutions of the Hellenic National Academic Recognition and Information Center (DOATAP) may also apply. In the event that a foreign institution is not listed on the DOATAP website, the Department will follow the procedure as defined by the current legislation. Otherwise, the student will be disenrolled, without any claim for a refund of any fees they may have paid.

For international students (as the language of instruction of the Postgraduate Programme is Greek), the procedure for verifying proficiency in the Greek language (e.g., internal exams, interview, or type of certification) is defined as follows: The responsible Department Secretariat verifies if the degree-awarding foreign institution is listed in the National Registry of Recognised Foreign Institutions and if the degree title type is listed in the National Registry of Degree Title Types from Recognised Institutions, as posted on the DOATAP website.

The maximum number of students admitted to the IIPSP “Resuscitation” is one hundred (100) per year, and the minimum is twenty (20).

In the case of a tie in scores, the tied candidates will be accepted as supernumerary, in a number not to exceed 10% of the total admitted students.

Members of the E.E.P. (Special Educational Staff), E.DI.P. (Laboratory Teaching Staff), and E.T.E.P. (Special Technical Laboratory Staff) categories may, upon request, enrol as supernumerary. Only one such member may be admitted per year, without tuition fees, to the IIPSP.
